How far should the thermometer be inserted into meat?

Insert the thermometer into the thickest portion of the meat. The core of the meat will give you the lowest internal temperature for an accurate reading when cooking. Make sure the tip of the thermometer is not touching the bone or fat of the meat.

What is the diameter of the probe?

The diameter of the probe is 3mm(0.11 inches), in the tip part is 2mm(0.07 inches)

Will this meat thermometer be suitable for a left-handed person?

What does the operating range mean?

The operating range -4 to 122°F (-20 to 50°C) is the temperature range that the plastic body of the X10 can be safely exposed to. Just don’t leave your X10 sitting on a grill, on the range, or put it in an oven.

Does it have a “hold” mode so temps can be read after withdrawing probe?

Yes, it does. You can just press “HOLD” button once to lock the reading and press it again to unlock.

Can I use it to check the temperature of my oven?

No, you can’t.

If the probe is damaged in some way, can it be replaceable?

The probe of the device cannot be replaced. If it is damaged, please contact us for help. Please don’t let the probe touch the flame, grate and other extra high-temperature objects to avoid damage.

Does the X10 show a decimal degree or not?
