Mad Barn’s MagneChrome+ is a concentrated, pelleted formula that provides nutritional support for horses with special metabolic needs.

It is ideally suited for horses on a low-NSC diet and can be used as part of veterinarian-directed feeding programs for horses with a history of laminitis, insulin resistance, EMS, or PPID.

MagneChrome+ contains high levels of chromium, magnesium and other beneficial ingredients that may support normal glucose metabolism, normal insulin production, and healthy metabolic function.

MagneChrome+ contains a number of natural ingredients that have been shown to support metabolic health and insulin sensitivity in horses:

Magnesium

• Essential mineral required for healthy metabolic function; critical for the metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats

• If magnesium is low in the cell, carbohydrate metabolism is impaired and a reduced insulin response can be triggered

• The magnesium content of many equine forages and feeds is often low, making supplementation useful for horses with metabolic concerns

Chromium

• An essential trace mineral that plays key roles in energy utilization.
