Garlic is the foundation of flavor in dishes around the world, and Melissa's Fresh Garlic delivers the pungent, aromatic quality that home cooks rely on. Each pack contains five whole garlic bulbs, with firm, papery skins protecting plump cloves inside. Garlic is an essential ingredient across global cuisines, from French and Italian to Chinese, Korean, and Middle Eastern cooking.

Garlic belongs to the allium family, alongside onions, shallots, and leeks, and it's prized for the way its flavor transforms with heat. Raw garlic is sharp and spicy, with a pungency that mellows significantly once cooked; roasted or caramelized, it turns sweet and nutty.

Melissa’s Fresh Garlic is ideal for sautéing, roasting, mincing, or infusing oils. Use garlic to build flavor in sauces, marinades, soups, stir-fries, and roasted vegetables; even a single clove can make the difference in a simple vinaigrette or a slow-simmered sauce. To use, simply peel away the outer skin from individual cloves, then mince, slice, or crush depending on the recipe.

Storage: Store whole garlic bulbs at room temperature in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight, where they'll stay fresh for several weeks. Avoid refrigeration, as cold, humid conditions can cause garlic to sprout or turn rubbery.
