After completing your notary course, you still need to pass the Notary Public exam, undergo a criminal background check, and have your application approved before you can receive your notary public commission packet from the California Secretary of State. This certificate is required to process your order. We need your original certificate to record the sample impressions on. We process the original with Sacramento and keep a copy on file for 5 years. For accuracy reasons, phone orders are not accepted.
