• Flowering hedges where a bold splash of color is desired

Autumn Bravo® Azalea Care Guide

This azalea performs best in partial sun, and through our expert growers experience we’ve found that they benefit from morning light and some protection from intense afternoon heat. Aim for 4-6 hours of direct sunlight. Grow these beauties in hardiness zones 6-10 in acidic potting soil rich in organic matter and requires regular watering during establishment and dry periods. Mulching helps conserve soil moisture and protect shallow roots. Minimal pruning is needed, but light shaping after a main bloom cycle helps maintain a tidy form and encourages additional flowering.

What Sets Autumn Bravo® Apart

We’ve seen Autumn Bravo® Azaleas typically reach a mature size of 4-5 feet tall and wide, creating a full and balanced shrub. It produces striking red blooms in spring with repeat flowering through summer and fall under favorable conditions. The evergreen foliage stays dark green year round, providing structure even when flowers are not present. This variety is also valued for its good cold tolerance and adaptability across many growing regions.
