Liposomal Quercetin

Liposomal Quercetin is one capsule a day carrying 150 mg of quercetin, 80 mg of vitamin C, 47 mg of bromelain and 11 mg of zinc.

Vitamin C contributes to the normal function of the immune system. One capsule provides 80 mg, which is 100% of the daily reference intake, and the zinc adds 11 mg, or 110%.

Quercetin itself is a plant flavonoid, the yellow pigment in onion skin, capers and apple peel. It is one of the most widely studied compounds of its kind and one of the most poorly absorbed, which is the reason for the liposomal formulation: the quercetin is enclosed in microscopically small spheres of fat-like material that shield it as it passes through the digestive tract. Without that step, most of a quercetin dose is simply lost.

Bromelain, an enzyme group extracted from pineapple stem, is a traditional companion to quercetin in this kind of formula and is included at 47 mg.

Additives are sunflower lecithin, which forms the liposomes, gum arabic and silicon dioxide as an anti-caking agent. The shell is HPMC, so the capsules are vegan.
